My Disney Food Review 2025: Menu changes, prices and more.
With so many choices for Disney dining, here are some to book and others to skip.
My family visited Walt Disney World in October 2025. This was our fourth trip and we have some favorite Disney dining spots. We also tried some popular restaurants we’ve never been to.
One of the biggest vacation expenses we have at Disney World is the food. To help keep our costs manageable, we bring food with us and we order grocery delivery so we can eat breakfast and lunch in our room. This helps cut down on restaurant spending.
Disney has made some changes in 2025 compared to our previous visit and many of the changes were not good ones. I also include the total cost of my dining bill, which will inlcude tax and in some cases, the tip.
Some basic information to include: my travel party was two adults and one child over the age of 9. Most Disney kids’ menus are for those 9 and under.
Included in my reviews, I provide a rating of how satisfied we were with the food, atmosphere and price. A rating of 1 is a poor experience and I would not recommend it and a 5 rating is excellent and would recommend it for your trip.
Let’s dig into the reviews.
Revisiting Family favorites
Sebastian’s Bistro
Rating: 3
Total bill: $159.26
It’s our family tradition to start our vacation with dinner at Sebastian’s Bistro. Located at the Caribbean Beach Club Resort, this restaurant has island vibes and serves Caribbean flavors. Reservations are recommended, but this doesn’t get as busy as some other popular dining options so you have the possibility of walk-in dining.
Historically, our experience here has always been wonderful and the food has been some of the best we have had. The prices are reasonable as well. In 2019, the restaurant had menu items that included Jerk Chicken. In 2022, the menu shifted to family-style with a salad, a main entree that included steak, chicken and pork with sides and bread pudding for dessert. I looked forward to this meal.
In 2025, the menu changed a bit. The chicken and pork did not have the seasoning that they once did. The broccolini side is gone and they included a fish serving. We were disappointed with the changes and the shift from minimizing the flavors and dry meats. The service was great, but the food wasn’t.
Columbia Harbour House
Rating: 3
Total bill: $32.12
This quick-service location is located in Magic Kingdom near the Tangled bathrooms and the Haunted Mansion. It offers East Coast fare such as crab cakes, lobster roll sandwiches, popcorn shrimp and hush puppies. In past visits, we would stop here for lunch as the portions for many of the entrees were enough to share. This place has one of my favorite people-watching areas in the dining room that overlooks the path below.
This trip, we were disappointed in the small portion size. We ordered the Trio Platter. We got two chicken nuggets, three popcorn shrimp and one fish stick. There were two hush puppies and the rest of the basket was a small serving of fries. The food was decent, the location is great, but it was underwhelming in terms of portion size.
Be Our Guest
Rating: 2
Total bill: $299.07
Swinging the other direction in portion sizes, there is Be Our Guest. This location is also in Magic Kingdom, inside Beast’s castle and is in high demand so reservations are a must here. The menu is prix fixe, meaning you pay a set price for three courses of food. You get an appetizer, entree and dessert selection. Any specialty or alcoholic drinks are extra.
This is my child’s favorite dining location for the atmosphere. However, getting a child over the age of 9 to eat off the adult menu is a challenge. Mine still wanted the kids’ menu options, but because of the prix fixe, we had to pay an adult price for them. At $72 for dinner, this was an expensive chicken tenders and another $30 for the light up souvenir chalace! Parenting blunder aside, let’s consider the food.
In past visits, I have ordered the lobster bisque, which was my favorite and the filet mignon. The filet was a 4 or 6-oz filet, which seemed reasonable. This time, the lobster bisque was gone and the filet was much bigger. And sometimes big isn’t always better. This cut of meat was as big as my hand and just too much to eat in a sitting. I got about halfway through when I just couldn’t force anymore. My husband said the same about his option, that the portion was too much.
I don’t know if Disney was trying to course correct after there were complaints about smaller portion sizes and higher prices, but this felt like too far in the bigger portion size adjustment.

Sunshine Tree Terrace
Rating: 5
Total: $9.00
This Dole Whip quick-service location is another family staple that we do every trip. Our favorite is the I Lava you float, which is Dole Whip in strawberry Fanta. On a hot day, it’s delicious.
Thankfully, no changes here so it was the same tasty float that we have done on past trips.
Satu’li Canteen
Rating: 2
Total: $43.51
Located in the Pandora section of Animal Kingdom, this Avatar-themed quick service location offers steamed buns or meat bowls. Every time I come here for the cheeseburger steamed buns, I forget to ask for the sauce. Don’t be like me. It needs the sauce.
My husband enjoyed the chicken bowl but it wasn’t a top meal for him and our child had a cheese quesadilla.
The food is decent but this place seems a bit overrated.

Everything Dining POP!
Rating: 2
This location is the food court option at Disney’s POP! Century Resort. My family loves staying at this resort because of the access to the Skyliner and we prefer to save our money for the parks and not a hotel room.
In previous trips, we have had several snacks, drinks and meals at the food court and while I don’t expect the best quality food, I have had some good experiences.
In 2025, the food quality went down a bit and the price went up, making this an unappealing option. We ended up getting things out of the grab-and-go instead of ordering from one of the menu options. Because this is a food court with a variety of packaged and prepared food, I don’t have a price available.
That completes the restaurants that my travel party visits on every trip. Now let’s take a look at some locations we tried for the first time.
First time Visits
The Plaza
Rating: 4
Total: $84.85
Our first visit to the Plaza, located in Magic Kingdom with castle views, included a bit of a surprise as we were the first guests of the day. We were given buttons and a free appetizer.
I shared the Halloween menu item of the skull-shaped meatloaf with mashed potatoes and veggies with my child and my husband got the Turkey Club Sandwich.
The food was good and we had a nice view out into the square to watch people go by.

50’s Prime Time Café
Rating: 4
Total: $221.70
This sit-down restaurant in Hollywood Studios is themed after a 1950’s family kitchen. The staff all refer to themselves as cousins and if you don’t follow the rules, you may find yourself standing in the corner for part of your dinner. I thought it would be a fun experience and it included the Fantasmic VIP seating ticket.
My husband and I are introverts. This is not a place for introverts. I personally embraced it and had a great time. My husband and child were overwhelmed and nervous that they would end up in the corner.
I also had the meatloaf here and it was tasty. My child ordered the chicken pot pie and ate every bite so that the “cousin” didn’t yell at her. We also had some rowdy neighbors at the table by us that were getting into the spirit of the theme and I had fun watching them.

Connections Eatery
Rating: 1
Total: $43.19
A quick-service food court area in EPCOT with a variety of offerings. We stopped in for a small lunch and wished we hadn’t. It’s cafeteria food with greasy, thin pizza and mediocre hamburgers. We shared a Liege waffle that was dense and disappointing.

Chef Mickey’s
Rating: 4
Total: $280.98
We had a change of plans and decided to try out Chef Mickey’s after a night at Winter Summerland mini golf. This restaurant is a buffet-style character dining option located inside the Contemporary Resort. With dance parties and table visits from Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Donald, it can be a little distracting when you are trying to eat or balance a plate of food back to the table.
The food options on the buffet offered plenty to choose from. My favorite was the butternut squash ravioli. My child indulged in the mac and cheese. We made the classic buffet mistake of eating way too much. At the end of our meal, we stopped by their photo spot as we held our stuffed bellies and made our way back to the hotel. The food was good. The characters were fun, but you do pay a premium because of the character experience.

Crystal Palace
Rating: 5
Total: $212.80
Finishing out our dining experiences for our trip, we had brunch at the Crystal Palace. This is also a buffet and character dining located in Magic Kingdom between Main Street and Adventureland.
I bounced with Tigger and got the best hug from Eeyore. I was craving pancakes and eggs and this place delivered. Because we arrived at brunch, we had breakfast and lunch items to choose from. This location had churro waffles and they were delicious!
We had a really good time here and, having learned our lesson at Chef Mickey’s, we didn’t overindulge. All the food was typical buffet quality, but still good. I don’t know why I skipped over this place in past years, but I will make it a staple for future trips.

Top Recommendations
So that completes a review of every Disney World restaurant I dined at in 2025. The restaurants I would recommend are worth the price and food are:
- Crystal Palace
- Sunshine Terrace
- The Plaza
- 50’s Prime Time Cafe
- Chef Mickey’s
And the one I wouldn’t recommend or eat at again is Connections Eatery.
Hope this helps you when choosing Disney dining for your vacation.
