Summer is winding down for this girl. Summer trips will soon be over and the kids will be back in school. This time of year always seems to go by so fast. It is now that I am thankful for my photography love, to be able to go through life’s glances and ponder. A few days ago I was going through photos and thought, “Look at these views”! I was enjoying them so much I thought I would share them with you in this roundup post.

– Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
This is me all summer. Getting my clothes dirty and getting close to nature. This photo was taken by my son as I was waiting for the sun to set.
We started off the summer at Lake Powell. If you have never been here, put it on your bucket list. It is gorgeous scenery of towering sandstone and calm, clean water.
San Juan Capistrano
Next on the list was San Juan Capistrano. I had never been here before so when we found out my son was going to have a soccer tourney here, we were quite excited. The rugged rocky coastline provided great views.Lime green moss and blue water make my little heart happy Click To Tweet
Sequoia National Park
Sequoia National Park. These trees just make me happy. They soar into the sky over 300 ft, are soft to the touch, and hollow when you knock on their trunk. I just loved visiting and hope to visit again soon.
Rio Grande Gorge
My first time seeing Big Horn sheep in the wild was during a road trip to Taos, New Mexico. Then, a goofball tourist scared them off. It did, however, provide the perfect opportunity to see them jump the fence with ease.
Ah…Lake Tahoe. I never grow tired of it. I still love being a part time resident in the town I grew up. This was an exceptional year as the drought ended, providing rushing rivers and a full lake.
So how was your summer? What memorable times did you have? I would love to hear about them in the comments.
